The Route

Full Route Summary

The route includes a total distance of 311km, 5650m of climbing and 5800m of descent, however the event is all about the experience as it is a tour, not a race. What we have forgotten to mention in the past is that we are not just selling a ride, but life changing moments, amazing memories and new friendships.

Kareedouw to Doringkloof // Kev’s Kouga Cluster &%!@

New start new stage. Day 1: Kareedouw to Doringkloof, 75km, 2250m climbing.

The first day is the most challenging of the 4. It will test your mental and physical limits, stretching you beyond what you thought possible. The route starts with a good gravel road, slowly winding its way up for 38km. Once past the Baviaans Lodge, we follow an old 4×4 Route, very technical and soul searching, but manageable with Kev’s guidance.

The final descent into the Baviaanskloof and the finish will be an exhilarating, switchback infested downhill which will more than make up for the climbing to get there!

Please note we will also have 2 extra support vehicles for this stage and if at any time you feel like you have bitten off more than you can chew, you have the option to jump aboard the sweep vehicles.
